Luma launches Skills: Make creative workflows "build once, reuse forever"

Luma launched Luma Skills on June 16, allowing users to "build creative workflows once and reuse them forever" by encapsulating reusable tips, parameters, styles and processes into skills. Together with Ray 3.2 and Uni-1, they form a complete creative AI stack, directly benchmarking Runway Agent and Adobe Firefly.

What is a creative team’s most valuable asset? It's not a beautiful picture, but a "workflow" that has been polished repeatedly - a methodology from prompt words to parameters to style to process. Luma launched Luma Skills on June 16 to capitalize on this methodology: the official slogan is "Build creative workflow once, reuse forever".

What are Skills?

Luma Skills encapsulates reusable prompts, parameters, styles, and processes into "skills" that users can reuse across projects. For the creative team, this means: the team's best practices can be accumulated into a skills library, which can be directly called for new projects, and the production process is standardized and can be accumulated - no more starting from scratch every time, and no longer recording "the set of parameters that worked well last time" in personal notes.

A complete creative AI stack

Luma positions itself as a "multi-modal AI agent platform for creative teams" - the agent generates and refines video, images, audio, and text, with brand consistency throughout. Skills are the "workflow assetization" capability of this platform. Putting together the recent actions, Luma’s stack is clear:
